Giving Ourselves a Break

Saturday, May 25 2:00 pm-3:00 pm
Fort Vancouver Ballroom

As unschooling families, we live free of the arbitrary constraints, timetables and stresses of schooled life. But we’re still human beings, with our own history and stories. Despite the joy of learning in freedom everyday, many of us have the companionship of a fervent inner critic. It’s clear- we can be really tough on ourselves!

In the midst of our full lives, and with all that is currently unfolding in the world, how do we find time and space just to be, to find our center in the middle of it all? How do we connect with our warm heart and show ourselves some grace and kindness, so we have more capacity to offer that to others? How do we allow for the unravelling of the limiting inner stories? In this session, we’ll experience simple practices that help us reconnect with an inner sense of welcome and hospitality that is always here, below the surface of the waves of life.
